Coahulla Creek Looking to Build Off Best Season in School History

Dalton, GA-(WDEF-TV) Coahulla Creek won four games last season. While the Colts didn’t exactly celebrate, it was the most wins in school history.
Now Coahulla Creek would love to take it a step further with a winning season. News 12’s Brian Armstrong has the Colts in the 30-in-30 spotlight.

Said quarterback Kace Kinnamon:”So I think 10-0, 11-0 15-0 that’s how I think.”

Coahulla Creek is coming off it’s best season in school history, but they know there is a lot of improvement still needed.

Kinnamon:”4-6 It’s really not where are we I wanted to be. I think the ultimate goal for everybody is to win every single game.”

Having the most successful year that the schools ever had last year leads in to be able to carry that over in the off-season and having a full off-season and a full spring and fall summer has only added to that excitement.

Coahulla is one of the schools that will be playing in a different regions this year and coach Wilson says that’s sets up well for them.

Said head coach Danny Wilson:”The new region is exciting for all of us that are at. It’s extremely balanced Adairsville is probably a little bit I have the rest of us and then the rest of us I think every Friday night in a region game is going to be like a playoff game so that’s exciting.

Said linebacker Will Douglas:”It’s just new people to play against it really doesn’t change that much. It’s just two more teams that we gotta make a game plan for.”

Kace Kinnamon will be behind center for his third year as a starter and his final season.

Said Wilson:”He’s the anchor of our offense. He’s gonna throw it he’s gonna run it and he’s gonna control the offense for us.”

Said Kinnamon:”If the coaches put their trust in me and I should be able to trust myself so I think I’ll be able to handle it just fine like all these other guys I’ve taken on a lot of responsibility just like I have.”

Said Wilson:”He knows what I expect of him. He knows that every year we gave him a little bit more on his plate and this year there’s a lot riding and he’s the kind of kid that dwells on that.”
