LATEST: Family says victim is 56-year-old Rosa Taylor Chatman.

She was a mother of three and sister of five.

Relatives say the victim was a kind woman that helped others.

They’re shocked someone would harm her.

NEW: Chattanooga Housing Authority officials encourage anyone with information regarding this crime may text the information to 423-451-6898.

They say it will be kept anonymous.

Housing officials are helping the Chattanooga Police with the investigation.

They say the cause woman’s death has not been confirmed yet, but it was not from a shooting.

UPDATE: Police say they’re processing the scene and trying to make a positive identification of the victim.

They’re working it as a homicide right now, but have not confirmed it.

Chief Fred Fletcher says there were signs of a struggle in the house.

The female victim was found on the second floor.

Police are interviewing family members and neighbors trying to find out what happened.

Officials say the Housing Authority found the woman’s body.
