Community Celebrates the career of Judge Clarence Shattuck

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A Hamilton County Sessions Court Judge is retiring after 36 years on the bench.

Judge Clarence Shattuck is hanging up his robe today.

He was elected to his position by the Hamilton County Commission in 1982.

At a special ceremony, the long time Judge told a packed crowd how much his job has meant to him.

“I love my job. I love working with the clerk’s office, they do a wonderful job. I love working with my colleagues over the years”

On Wednesday, the Hamilton County Commission voted to appoint attorney Gerald Webb to replace Judge Shattuck.
