Cormetech wins “Company of the Year” award from Tennessee Association of Manufacturers

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Government and industry officials stressed the importance of education and workforce development on Wednesday.
     Tennessee’s Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development, the Assistant Commissioner of Education and the Executive Director of "Drive to 55" and "Tennessee Promise" discussed getting Tennesseans ready for the jobs of the future.
     The keynote address was moderated by our own Amy Katcher.
     It was part of the Manufacturers Excellence Awards Luncheon.
     Cleveland’s Cormetech took home the top honors of "Company of the Year."
     Cormetech plant manager Stacy Greene said, "So one of the things that people often ask me is the biggest asset at Cormetech, and beyond a shadow of a doubt, it’s the people.  We have a great group of people that operate the plant who deliver quality and do it safely."
     Siskin Steel took home the "Safety" award and BASF won the "Environment" award.
