UPDATE: Bicyclist Struck and Killed on Block of Interstate 24E

UPDATE: Assistance is needed to locate the suspect vehicle involved in this crash.

The vehicle in question is described as a 2004-2008 Ford F-150, light in color (possibly white or beige).

The truck appears to be a work truck with a covered bed, possibly a camper top.

There will be some driver side damage to the vehicle.

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF): Chattanooga Police is investigating a struck bicyclist that led to the death of a 57 year old male.

The accident occurred on December 24th around 12:34 AM.

Chattanooga Police Traffic Division was called to the 181.2 block of Interstate 24 Eastbound regarding a struck cyclist.

Details regarding the incident were collected through interview, observation, and investigation.

Cyclist #1 was in the second lane of travel at 181.2 I-24 East crossing the roadway.
Vehicle #2 was in the same lane traveling in the same direction also at 181.2 I-24 East.
Vehicle #2 struck Cyclist #1 and then fled the scene.
Cyclist #1 was pronounced deceased on scene by Hamilton County EMS.
