Dade County School Board chooses new superintendent

Trenton, GA (WDEF) – The Dade County School Board found a replacement for retiring superintendent Cherie Swayder.

DiscoverDade.com reports Dr. Jan Harris of Huntsville was chosen from a group of 18 applicants from eight different states.

Harris is the former director of the Cullman City Schools and she is a former principal in Huntsville.

School board chair Carolyn Bradford told DiscoverDade.com Harris’s contract is still being worked on.
