Dalton loves Krispy Kreme- it’s official!

Dalton, GA (WDEF) – Not rain, nor fog, nor dark of night kept hundreds of Dalton area residents from the  grand opening of the new Krispy Kreme store on West Walnut Avenue.
Tuesday morning at 6:00am the doors officially opened at 1500 West Walnut Avenue to a crowd of 130 doughnut lovers.          Some of the pastry enthusiasts started camping out as early as about 7pm Sunday evening, and for good reason, the first 100 guests in line for the Tuesday morning grand opening won free doughnuts for a year and a commemorative t-shirt.
Carrie Sisco with Krispy Kreme tells News12 all of the first 100 people were in place by 6:45pm Monday night, and that’s the earliest she’s ever seen all 100 be in place during her time working for the doughnut chain.
Of course the promise of free sweet treats was not the only reason some attended the doughnut shop grand opening celebration, some wanted to be there as the brand new Hot Doughnuts light was lit at the new West Walnut Street store location.
        Now that’s an Amy-O-Meter 10!
