Medical Emergency may have started chase & wreck in Bradley Co.
CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – The chase that ended with a crash on Tuesday in Bradley County may have all happened because of a medical emergency.
Bradley County officials say deputies tried to stop a driver who failed to yield around 2:15 PM on Dalton Pike.
The driver didn’t stop for them either, and the chase got up to 100 miles per hour.
Eventually, the fleeing car hit another vehicle head on and then hit a telephone.
Police officials say the original driver may have been suffering from a medical condition and was flown to a hospital.
The person in the other vehicle was also transported and is in stable condition.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is still investigating, but Bradley officials don’t believe any charges will be filed in the case.
