Dalton Police: Victim shot in face; 2 suspects at large
DALTON, Ga. (WDEF) – Detectives have reportedly left the crime scene in Dalton, but are still working on leads in this evening’s shooting investigation.
Bruce Frazier with the Dalton Police Department states there is no new information to report at the moment, although he hopes to have an update by morning.
He also says the identity of the victim will not be released tonight as the department continues to notify family members.
Frazier released this statement regarding updates in today’s shooting investigation:
“Our crime scene analyst and other detectives have left the crime scene on Wrinkle Street. Detectives are still working on leads tonight, but at this point I don’t have any new information to report. If I get any other updates either on suspects, arrests, or the condition of the victim I will pass those along. Otherwise I’ll try to have an update in the morning. We won’t be releasing the identity of the victim tonight pending family notifications.”

DALTON, Ga. (WDEF) – The Dalton Police Department is on scene at 408 Wrinkle Street investigating a shooting that happened at approximately 5:00 pm.
One 18 year old male victim was found shot in the face and was transported to Hamilton Medical Center and was to be life flighted to Erlanger in Chattanooga.
The victim was conscious and alert on scene.
At this time, the initial investigation indicates that there are two suspects at large in the shooting.
At this time investigators do not have a description to release.
