Dalton Stolen Wallet

Dalton, GA (WDEF) – Dalton Police need your help to identify the suspect who stole a wallet out of a purse at the Kroger on West Walnut Avenue on March 23rd.

The male suspect was recorded lingering near the woman’s shopping cart while she was distracted and then immediately leaving the store.

It happened between 12:30 and 1 p.m.

The victim realized her wallet was gone when she went to pay.

The victim told police she noticed someone standing near her cart when she stopped to help a man in a wheelchair.

Surveillance video says the suspect has a shaved head and was wearing a white polo shirt with a blue collar and jeans and sunglasses.

After the suspect is shown walking up to the unattended cart and then pushing his cart to the front of the store where he abandoned it and all of the items and left.

The victim’s wallet was a pink floral patterned Vera Bradley wallet with her bank cards, identification, and $10 in cash.

Later, someone attempted to use the bank cards at a Shell station in Kenesaw, but they were declined.
