Department of Education ditching TNReady Tests

NASHVILLE (WDEF) – The Tennessee Department of Education has suspended TNReady testing for grades three through eight throughout the entire state.

Education Commissioner Candice McQueen announced that the department will terminate its testing contract with Measurement Inc. effective immediately.

Districts still have the option to test if they have received complete materials.

High school testing will continue as planned.

The departments says they are already in the process of finding a vendor for next year.
