Deputies also chased another car overnight in Ooltewah

Ooltewah, Tennessee (WDEF) – While deputies were still looking for a chase suspect along the Tennessee River below the city, they were also chasing a car in the Ooltewah area.

After 2 AM, officers were called about a suspicious vehicle on Neville Road.

A deputy spotted it on Streamside Drive and turned on his lights.

But the car sped off.

Officers got it stopped going the wrong way on Tranquility Drive.

They say the driver rammed the front of a patrol unit and sped away again.

This time it ended in the 7200 block of Mountain View Road when the driver jumped out of the vehicle while it was still rolling.

It eventually crashed into a telephone line junction box.

Three other people jumped out after the crash and ran.

Officers caught one of them who is a juvenile.

They found the driver at the BP Station on Lee Highway.

He was also a juvenile.

The other two remain at large.

Investigators discovered that the car they were in was stolen from a home on Huntly Lane off South Gunbarrel.

The driver faces charges of Burglary of an Auto, Felony Evading Arrest, Evading Arrest, Aggravated Assault, Theft Over $10, 00.00 and Driving Without a License.
