Designer proposes building an indoor Drive-In in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) A drive-in theater that’s not outdoors?

A New York designer wants to build one in Nashville.

The Tennessean reports that The August Moon Drive-In is slated for a parking lot near Nissan Stadium.

The developers want to put up a dome to cover the Drive In.

The idea is to recreate a 1960’s era vibe without any of the inconvenience of actually being outdoors.

So you’ve drive into the covered lot, park, and watch the largest non-IMAX movie screen in North America and order from the bar.

They’ll bring in trees, grass, gravel, hammocks and even a starry sky for you, but they will all be props.

And the collapsible dome will even come down when the Titans need their parking space back.

The developers are still looking for investors to make August Moon Drive-In a reality.
