Do The Right Thing Volunteer Call: Picking Up Flags

Chattanooga/ Ringgold, GA (WDEF) – We’ve got Memorial Day leftovers for our Do The Right Thing Volunteer Call for the week.

It’s always easier to get people to put out the flags, than collect them again.

Now officials are asking for volunteers to help with the cleanup from the holiday.

Volunteers put out 43,000 flags this year at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Now, they’ve all got to be taken up again.

They are looking for help all week between 8:30- 4:30.

Contact the office at 423-855-6590 ext. 5802 if you can help.

Catoosa County officials are also looking for help to pick up their flags at the courthouse today.

Contact the courthouse if you can help.

WDEF is proud to honor volunteers in our community with the Do The Right Thing award.
