Driver killed in I 24 crash

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A driver was killed this afternoon after his vehicle slammed into a concrete barrier on I 24 this afternoon.

The single vehicle wreck happened around 2:15 PM near the Moore Road exit in the construction zone.

Witnesses tell police that the Jeep Grand Cherokee was driving erratically while heading east bound.

The vehicle hit the barrier and overturned on the right shoulder of the interstate.

No other vehicles were involved.

The victim was a 31 year old male.
