Dynamite found in Murray County store

MURRAY COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) – The new owner of a Murray County store found a potentially explosive situation at the business.

According to the Dalton Daily Citizen, they found eight sticks of dynamite inside the Goswick Store. The owner also found blasting caps there as well.

The Murray County Sheriff’s Office and the bomb Squad from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation had to carefully remove it all.

Highway 286 got shut down, while authorities disposed of the dynamite, and the blasting caps.
