Early morning Christmas Eve crash kills one, injures another in Walker County

WALKER COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) – One person is dead and another is recovering in the hospital after a car crash on Christmas Eve in Walker County.

The Georgia State Patrol says they arrived at the scene on Old Trion Highway south of Lafayette at 3:45 this morning

Their initial report says that a vehicle ran off the road and crashed into a tree.

The driver was killed and a passenger was transported to the hospital by helicopter.
