Early Morning Fire Damages House on Stancil Road in Rossville

Rossville, GA (WDEF) Fire ripped through a home in Rossville early this morning on Stancil Road.

Firefighters battling the blaze called from mutual aid assistance from nearby departments. The original 911 call came in stating there was heavy fire visable from the attic of a single story structure. The home has a metal roof, so firefighters had to make an interior attack to get to the blaze.

The Red Cross was called to assist one adult. The homeowner reported a problem with rats and firefighters are checking to see if rats chewed some wiring and sparked the fire.
