East Ridge special meeting approves payment for remaining fire hall balance

East Ridge, TN (WDEF) – East Ridge leaders met at a special called meeting Tuesday night to approve paying TDOT the remaining 603-thousand dollars for the land that housed the Camp Jordan Fire Hall.
The city moved the hall to make room for the Bass Pro Shops development and then learned if the land was used for any purpose other than a fire hall, the city would owe TDOT the other 71% of the land value.
Also Tuesday night, East Ridge approved applying for state legislation that reimburses cities’ development costs near a state border.
