Emerson Russell Honored as 2016 Chattanooga Area Manager of the Year

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Area Chamber names it’s Manager of the Year.

And the winner is ERMC CEO Emerson Russell.

The award now in its 31st year, recognizes executive managers who make significant contributions to the Chattanooga area.

“Emerson Russell is a dedicated icon of the American free enterprise system,” Stringer said. “He is widely recognized for ethical management practices, efficient training for employees and creating jobs in Chattanooga and beyond as he serves his community through civic, professional and educational leadership.”

The Chattanooga native worker at Mosteller’s Garage on Main Street as a teenager.

By 16, he ran his own car lot.

Russell also worked as a policeman and later as the city’s polygrapher.

He launched ERMC as a security company in 1972.

It now offers janitorial, maintenance, security and landscaping services to more than 200 companies across the country.

The Chattanooga Chamber will honor Emerson Russell with a luncheon on June 8.
