Emily’s List of Weekend Activities – October 27, 2017
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — There’s a lot to do in Chattanooga, and in nearby cities this weekend.
It’s the weekend before Halloween, and you have a chance to head to the Tennessee Aquarium Friday night for AquaScarium.
Despite the name, it’s family friendly fun.
Come in costume, make friends with some of the animals, munch on candy, and get your groove on at the Monster Mash dance party with some of the Aquarium’s lovable mascots.
The event is taking place until 8:30 p.m.
If you’re not up for any Halloween activities just yet, you still have time to get to the Tivoli Theatre to see a Broadway classic – the Sound of Music.
You’re in for a treat, since it’s a Tony, Grammy and Academy Award winning production.
The show starts at 8 p.m.
Show times tomorrow are at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Tivoli Theatre.
Enjoy a Halloween party all night long Saturday at Something Wicked on Station Street.
Check out live music performances from The Communicators and other groups, and participate in costume contests at nearby bars.
Activities start at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, and wrap up at 2:30 a.m. Sunday on Station Street.
October is almost over.
That means it’s your last chance to take advantage of Rocktoberfest at Rock City.
Get in touch with the attraction’s German heritage by listening to live German music, taking polka lessons, or enjoying German food and beer.
You also can’t beat a view of the fall foliage from the top of Lookout Mountain.
The event is taking place both Saturday and Sunday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
And if you’re a college football fan, you can always head down to Atlanta Saturday for the Haunted Hall of Fame.
Enjoy the “Field of Screams” with a spooky scavenger hunt filled with candy cauldrons, while touring the haunted hallways of the College Football Hall of Fame.
Fans can trick or treat throughout the building, and get their face painted on the Playing Field.
The event is happening all weekend during regular business hours.
