Emily’s List of Weekend Activities – September 9, 2017

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — There’s a lot to do in Chattanooga, and in nearby cities this weekend.

Enjoy two days of railroad history and fun at the Tennessee Valley Railfest.

The event features an expanded schedule of train rides, demonstrations and exhibits.

You can even check out railroad displays, not normally open.

There’s also live music, food, and activities for the kids.

The festival is happening from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum.

Another cool event in the Scenic City this weekend – the IRONMAN 70 point 3 World Championships.

We’ve been talking about it all week.

Watch more than 3,000 top notch athletes from around the world compete in this race – swimming, biking, and running.

There are activities happening all weekend, or you can just sit back and watch the competition.

The women race Saturday, and the men race on Sunday.

If you’d rather escape the excitement in the Scenic City, you can always head to Atlanta for the Old Fourth Ward Fall Festival.

Head to the historic park for food trucks, live music, and a lantern parade that night.

The event starts at noon.

Another option is the Music City for a Lady Antebellum concert Saturday night.

Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, and Dave Haywood bring you their You Look Good World Tour, with new music from their sixth studio album.

Country stars Brett Young and Kelsey Ballerini will open the show.

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Central Time at the Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville.

On Sunday in Nashville, you can check out the Tennessee Titans as they take on the Oakland Raiders in their first home game of the regular season.

Kickoff is at 12 p.m. Central Time at Nissan Stadium.
