EPB announces internet speed changes

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – EPB Fiber Optics is juicing your internet speed again without raising prices.

The company announced on Friday that they are tripling their most popular residential speed from 100 Mbps to 300.

At the same time, they are cutting the price of their 1 Gigabit service by two dollars to $67.99 per month.

They hope they will tempt people to upgrade their service from 300 Mbps to 1 Gig for just another $10 a month.

The changes take effect immediately.

David Wade of EPB says “Providing even more bandwidth and internet value is our way making sure our customers get the most from on-line opportunities for education, work, entertainment, and healthcare, particularly as they add more smart devices and appliances.”

This is the 4th speed increase that EPB Fi service has announced in the last ten years of service.
