EXCLUSIVE: Walker Valley’s Carissa Frost reacts to her ESPN Top 10 catch
BRADLEY COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — According to ESPN, Lebron James and his 46 points have nothing on our very own Carissa Frost.
That home run stealing grab got the Walker Valley left fielder the top spot on ESPN’s top 10 Friday night.
The catch helped the Lady Mustangs force a game 2 for the AAA state title — but Powell High School came out the champs after winning 2-1 in that second game.
“I was just like, hold on to the ball, hold on to the ball,” Frost remembered. “It was just an indescribable feeling of like, oh my goodness, I can’t believe I just caught that. So like, I don’t know, it was just really amazing, and like, I’m glad I got to share it with that team.”
Frost says that wasn’t the only great play the Lady Mustangs made in the outfield this week — and she wanted to make sure the entire Walker Valley family got some credit.
