Fire Boat rescues father and daughter thrown from their fishing boat

Boat was running in circles out in the lake

DALLAS BAY, Tennessee (WDEF) – Dallas Bay first responders rescued a father and daughter out on the lake this afternoon.

They were called about people in distress on the water.

Dallas Bay Fire Rescue’s Fire Boat #1 used their Flir technology to find the pair.

As they pulled up, they saw a small boat going around in circles.

The father and daughter had apparently been thrown from their fishing boat and did not have a kill switch for the ignition.

They were clinging on for awhile, before rescuers fished them out at the bank of the water.

The team then helped corral the boat.
