Fire destroys part of Apison home on homeowner’s wedding anniversary

Apison, Tenn (WDEF)- One injury is reported after a house fire tonight in Apison.

Firefighters found part of a home on Wesleyan Road engulfed in flames.

Fire officials report the house suffered extensive damage, about $250,000 worth.

The homeowner told fire officials his wife just left the house to meet him to celebrate their wedding anniversary.. when a neighbor called with the news.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
