Volunteer firefighters battle master bedroom fire

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Hamilton County EMA spokesperson Amy Maxwell said a quick emergency response from Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department saved a house from a bedroom fire Friday afternoon.

At 11:30 a.m., the homeowner called 9-1-1.

The caller reported smoke coming from the eaves of her house on 5509 Nations Road.

Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department firefighters responded and arrived on the scene confirming smoke coming from the house.

Firefighters conducted an interior attack, found a fire in the master bedroom and extinguished it within minutes.

No injuries were reported, but Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries to the firefighters.

Fire officials have reported damages are undetermined at this time and the cause of the fire will be under investigation by the Tri-Community Fire Marshall’s Office.

Officials say the family was insured.

They told officials they will be stay with family and friends until their home is repaired after the fire.
