First Annual Kelly McCoy Adopt-A-Thon

Humane Educational Society announces pet adoption event in honor of local radio personality

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Humane Educational Society is holding their first Annual Kelly McCoy Adopt-A-Thon on May 21st.

That was McCoy’s birthday.

The radio personality passed away this year.

McCoy was a “hardcore advocate” for animals and HES.

They will be waiving adoption fees for all adult dogs in her honor.

“Everyone who knew Kelly or listened to her show felt the undeniable love she had for shelter dogs,” said Jeanine Cloyd the Community Outreach Manager at HES. “Wouldn’t it be amazing if all the people who loved Kelly chose to love an animal in her honor? I can’t imagine a better way for us all to remember her than to open our hearts and homes to a shelter pup.”
