Former School Board Chairman Faces Assault Charge
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The former chairman of Sequatchie County’s school board is accused of threatening to shoot a cashier.
Charles Rollins is now facing an assault charge.
According to the arrest affidavit, the incident happened at Staples on December 1.
In it, Chattanooga police say Rollins and the cashier got into an argument, after she refused to price match an item for $4.
The affidavit says the victim told police, Rollins said he’d go back to get his gun from his truck, and shoot her.
Rollins was booked into the Hamilton County Jail, Thursday.
