Fort Oglethorpe Police arrest teacher over student relationship

FORT OGLETHORPE, Georgia (WDEF) – Fort Oglethorpe Police have arrested a former LFO teacher for having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

The relationship dated back to last year, but police just got a tip a couple of weeks ago.

Investigators say they developed evidence that Ashley M. Pritchett engaged in sexual conduct with one of her students.

They arrested her at her home today.

Pritchett was the cheerleading coach for LFO and a math teacher.

She has been charged with Sexual Assault by Persons with Supervisory or Disciplinary Authority which is a felony.

The investigation continues.
