Funding for new Mental Health Court

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Mayor Jim Coppinger and County Commissioners are making plans to fund the new Mental Health Court.

The Mental Health Court has been operating out of the public defender’s office.

After speaking with officials about the court, a proposal for a new space was suggested.

Judge Don Poole and Anna Protano-Biggs say it is time that they have their own separate building. They helped start the Mental Health Court in 2015.
