Georgia Excited For Rare Matchup Against Notre Dame

For only the second time ever, Georgia and Notre Dame will meet on the gridiron.
Both teams are hoping to use this clash of premiere programs as a springboard for the rest of the season.
Georgia rarely plays a big-time non-conference game, especially on the road.
So going to South Bend will be special.
Said head coach Kirby Smart:”I think these kind of games in college football are really cool because you get to go play somebody that you don’t normally play. I know for our fan base they’re really excited. Our team is excited.”
Said Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly:”This is the great part of being an independent football team in that you get these kinds of games. Getting a chance to play against a team that’s regarded as one of the very best in the SEC.”
The Dawgs and Irish will both try to pound the rock.
Said Smart:”Three good physical backs. Count the quarterback and that’s four because he really runs well. They are a big physical football team. Across the front, they’re the biggest we’ll play when they line up there, and their tight ends are huge.”
Said Kelly:”You clearly get the sense that this is a Georgia football team that wants to feature two outstanding backs.”
A lot has been made of Georgia starting a true freshman at quarterback in Jake Fromm. But coach Smart has a lot of confidence in the young kid.
Said Smart:”Jake Fromm is a mature freshman that is going to be able to take over the offense and hopefully go out and execute. He has got some good players around him.”
