Georgia Voters Have Decisions to Make on Election Day

Voters across Georgia cast ballots in several local, state and federal races.

In Walker County, voters have two big decisions to make. The Republican nomination for the county’s sole commissioner seat will be up for grabs, as incumbent BeBe Heiskell runs as an independent.
Voters will choose between Mike Peardon and Shannon Whitfield.

Also, a bond referendum in Chickamauga would fund demolition of Gordon Lee High School, after the construction of a new building.

Republican incumbent’s, Congressman Tom Graves and Senator Johnny Isakson, both face two opponents in their primaries today.

Polls open at 7am and close tonight at 7pm.
