Georgia Woman arrested after shooting death of pastor
MACON, Ga. (AP) – Authorities say a woman accused in the shooting death of a pastor after an argument at a restaurant in central Georgia has been arrested.
Bibb County jail records show that 48-year-old Tracia Yvonne Hubbard is charged with murder Saturday. The sheriff’s office told the Telegraph that the woman was kneeling over Pastor Brandon Parker’s body when deputies arrived.
The 33-year-old Parker of Ebenezer Baptist Church was found dead outside an address listed as Hubbard’s address on jail records.
Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones says the domestic issue started at the downtown restaurant and escalated from there.
Macon-Bibb County Commissioner Al Tillman had met with Parker a couple of weeks ago to arrange for the proclamation declaring Elm Street as Rev. Jacob Parker Memorial Way, in honor of Parker’s 87-year-old grandfather.
