Golden Apple: Gilbert Elementary’s Charity Burnette

LAFAYETTE, Georgia (WDEF) – Charity Burnette’s classroom is the great outdoors.

The Gilbert Elementary teacher uses nature to teach her students life lessons.

Rain, or shine, the kids and Burnette are solving problems, and working together on their education.

And her administrators say she is pioneering a new teaching movement across the country.
