Groundbreaking for new Erlanger outpatient cancer center

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Erlanger breaks ground on a new outpatient cancer center and medical office building.

This morning, Erlanger officials, along with County Mayor Jim Coppinger, celebrated the new facility at the hospital’s East campus.

The 80 thousand square foot building will include the Erlanger Center for Breast Health, an infusion center, radiation and medical oncology therapy, interventional radiology, and imaging services.

It will also house a variety of multi-specialty physician offices.

“It will make the patient experience great, but also I think improve the ability to communicate effectively and to plan treatment plannings and diagnoses for patients.”

The building is expected to be completed about a year from now.
