Habitat for Humanity presents Women’s Build Week

Chattanooga, Tenn. (WDEF) – Twenty women volunteers from Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga and Lowe’s Heroes employee volunteers devoted their Saturday to help build an affordable home from one local woman and her son.

It all started at 10 a.m. on Newell Avenue.

The Project is a part of Habitat for humanity’s National Women Build Week which takes place from April 30th until May 8th.

The week long event was created by the Women Build Program, and invites women to help build strength and independence through housing.

Lowe’s donated $2 million dollars to Habitat’s 2016 Women Build Week.
