UPDATE: Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies investigate fatal motorcycle wreck on Cummings Highway

LOOKOUT VALLEY, Tenn. (WDEF) – The driver of the motorcycle (deceased) was 56 year old Arthur F. Todd of  Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

The passenger in the wreck was 48 year old Angela K. Ownby of Ooltewah, Tennessee. She is listed in stable, but critical condition at a local hospital.

No further details are available. Traffic investigators are still investigating this incident.


LOOKOUT VALLEY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 2100 block of Cummings Highway for the report of a motorcycle wreck around 5pm Friday evening.

Deputies determined a motorcycle heading south on Cummings Highway had run off the road into a guardrail. Both occupants had been thrown from the cycle.

Witnesses said a vehicle driving in the inside lane veered into a lane with two motorcycles causing one of the cycles to swerve and ultimately hit the guard rail.

Deputies say upon impact, the driver and passenger of the motorcycle were both thrown off the bike. The driver was pronounced dead-on-arrival by deputies and the passenger was flown to an area hospital. The passenger is currently listed in critical condition.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Investigators are asking for community assistance in locating the alleged vehicle who according to witnesses caused the motorcycle to swerve and hit the guardrail.

It’s described as a black, 4-door vehicle with a bumper sticker on the right rear bumper with blue writing.
