Suspect arrested in gas station stabbing

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – A stabbing suspect was taken into custody, after a pursuit ended near the Mountain Shadows community in East Brainerd.

Grundy County Sheriff Clint Shrum says Dylan Hilton is the suspect in the stabbing of a gas station clerk on Thursday.

According to officials, Hilton is first accused of attempted car jacking in Pelham, Tennessee. He then is accused of stabbing a Shell gas station clerk in Monteagle. After that, a pursuit for Hilton started in Marion County.

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and Monteagle Police Department all helped with the case.

No deputies were injured in the pursuit, but some law enforcement vehicles received minor damage.

Officials say the suspect was captured in the Mountain Shadows Community in East Brainerd when his car crashed.

The gas station owner say the victim had to get get stitches, but is doing alright.
