Duane Horton PRESIDENT OF THE MCLEMORE CLUB – For this mountain to be flat like this, its like an island in the sky. I think that it is going to attract people from all over to come and spend a day over here, stay overnight job creation and bringing tax dollars to the community. I don’t think that there is anywhere else in the region that’s going to bring as much outside dollars to Chattanooga as what McLemore could long term.

Walker County officials believe that this addition will be a great help economically to the community.

Robert Wardlaw- DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WALKER COUNTY – When sales tax revenue comes in, then of course the pressure of the property tax for the local residents go down. and that is the real win here.

Once completed, the course will have a resort and a brand new clubhouse.

The First day of play for members is scheduled for June 22.
