High school band van stolen

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – The Coahulla Creek High School marching band has been victimized by thieves.

A large trailer used for hauling band equipment was stolen from the school’s student parking lot.

It does have the school name and sponsors painted on the sides.

It’s valued at about $7,000.

Band Director David Keith says there were no instruments inside, but there was other equipment.

“There”s badging all over the trailer, says Coahulla Creek High school band all over it. And on both sides there’s a big C.C. on the back, as well as various sponsors in the trailer.”

Keith says the trailer was parked lot under lighting and in view of security cameras.

Sheriff’s investigators say, however, that they could not get any usable video from the camera.
