A high speed chase through the mountains

HAMILTON COUNTY (WDEF) – Hamilton County deputies charge a driver with leading them on a high speed chase across Walden’s Ridge.

It began when the car took off on Signal Mountain Road when he saw a police car.

They chased him up Suck Creek Mountain, and then back down the mountain.

He headed down River Canyon Road towards Marion County, and then turned around again, and headed back to Suck Creek Road.

Eventually, deputies got down some spike strips on River Canyon Road, which blew out three of his tires.

That finally brought him to a stop.

Officers are not identifying the suspect yet.

But they say he has an extensive record.

And they are adding driving on a revoked license, reckless driving, and evading arrest to the list.
