Historical Monuments at Military Parks

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Should a historic marker, monument or statue stay or go?

That’s the question communities in the south are asking as they come under pressure from various groups.

One of the biggest battles of the civil war was fought at Chickamauga Georgia in 1863, and that area has plenty of monuments to that event.

News 12’s Bill Mitchell and photojournalist Ashley Henderson tell us why military parks are neutral ground.
