Homeless man accused of sexual battery on 4-year old

SODDY DAISY, Tennessee(WDEF) – An act of trust and kindness has reportedly led to a small child being sexually assaulted.

Christopher Uncapher, 25, of Soddy Daisy was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual battery of a 4-year old.

According to Hamilton County Sheriff deputies, the child’s grandmother caught Uncapher in the act.

According to the arrest report, the child’s father knew Uncapher for a couple of years and allowed him to stay at his house from time to time because Uncapher was homeless.

Uncapher was asked to leave after the child’s grandmother reportedly caught Uncapher inappropriately touching the child. According to the report, when Uncapher was confronted by the child’s father regarding the allegations, Uncapher reportedly  did not deny the claim or offer any defense.

The child’s grandmother reportedly told deputies that she was in the kitchen when she saw Uncapher sexually assaulting her granddaughter in a back bedroom that connected to the kitchen. According to the arrest report, Uncapher kept looking over his shoulder to make sure no one was watching, But he had no idea the child’s grandmother could see what he was reportedly doing.

Deputies learned that Uncapher often slept in his car which was reportedly parked in the Hixson Walmart.

Uncapher was taken into custody without incident.

According to the arresting deputy, Uncapher did not ask why he was being arrested and didn’t act surprised that law enforcement were looking for him.

Uncapher remains in jail on $180,000 bond and his next court date is February 9.
