HomeServe USA expansion promises 200 new jobs for Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – HomeServe USA announces an expansion in Chattanooga that should bring 200 new jobs.

The company plans to invest $5.5 million in a state of the art call center and customer operations facility.

The hope to break ground on a new 45,000 square foot facility off of Lee Highway in a few weeks.

But the deal is pending local and state tax incentives.

“For over six years, Chattanooga has been the home to our award-winning customer support team, which serves as a foundation to the value we bring to our customers – often homeowners dealing with unexpected home repair emergencies,” said Tom Rusin, CEO of HomeServe USA.

“We are thrilled to be growing our operations within a community that has been so supportive for HomeServe. We look forward to continuing to raise the bar for customer service quality in the years ahead and are dedicated to contributing and giving back to this community along the way.”

The call center in Chattanooga began six years ago with 35 employees, and has since grown to 329.

“With this expansion, HomeServe will create close to 200 good, middle-class jobs right here in Chattanooga, bringing their local workforce to over 500 strong,” said Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke. “Today’s announcement provides another example of an excellent company choosing to both invest in our city and grow our local workforce.”

“HomeServe has been a wonderful partner in our business community for more than six years now,” said Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger. “We congratulate them on their growth in Hamilton County as they continue to provide award-winning customer service from Hamilton County.”
