In-Home caregiver charged in TennCare fraud case
CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – An in-home caregiver has been accused of TennCare fraud in in Bradley County.
The Bradley County Grand Jury indicted Lauren Young on a charge of theft over $1000 last summer.
Investigators say she charged the TennCare CHOICES Program for service she did not actually provide for clients in both Bradley and Hamilton Counties. The fraudulent charges occurred between June and September of 2020.
But law officers did not catch up with her until she was arrested in Cocke County last week.
She was brought back to Bradley County to face the charge.
