Injured Teen rescued at Pocket Wilderness
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – At 1:20pm Sunday afternoon, Tennessee State Parks and Mowbray Volunteer Fire Department were called to the “Blue Hole” at the Pocket Wilderness trails.
According to officials, a 15 year old male had injured his ankle cliff jumping at the “Blue Hole”.
Because of the heat, additional agencies were requested for mutual aid. Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department, Sale Creek Volunteer Fire Department, Sequoyah Volunteer Fire Department, and Chattanooga-Hamilton County Rescue responded.
Rescue officials carried the injured teen 2 miles out of the woods.
As of 3:30pm, the teen was being transported to Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.
