Non violent inmate walks away from work crew in Rainsville, Alabama

FORT PAYNE, Alabama (WDEF) DeKalb County deputies are looking for an inmate who walked off a work detail on Sand Mountain on Tuesday.

43 year old Amos Clark was working with eight other inmates at the Agricultural Center in Rainsville, Alabama when he walked away from the crew.

The Sheriff says he has no violate crime history and is not expected to be armed.

But he hopes the public will spot him.

Clark is from Tracy City in Grundy Count on the Cumberland Plateau.

Sheriff Jimmy Harris says “We urge the citizens of this County to be on the lookout for Clark and if anyone sees Clark please don’t try to make contact with him and call the Sheriff’s Office (256) 845-8565), 911, or your local Police Department.”
