Investigation into suspicious package at Driver’s License Center

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Around 10:30am, the Chattanooga Police Bomb Squad was called to the Driver’s License Center on Bonny Oaks Drive on a report of a suspicious package.

Police say the package was reported by employees at the Driver’s License Center and the building was evacuated until police arrived.

According to Chattanooga Police, Bomb Squad Technicians determined that the package was innocuous.

Since the Driver’s License Center is owned by the state of Tennessee, Chattanooga Police turned the package over to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
