Irish and Tyner go head to head in a Wet matchup
Notre Dame might have been seeking a little revenge friday as they took on Tyner.
The Rams beat the Irish 27-21 last year in what may have been considered an upset.
Even though it’s the season opener for Tyner, the Rams are missing several key players with injuries.
The Irish looking for a quicker start this week.
They were sluggish in the first quarter against Central a week ago.
Not the start Notre Dame was looking for.
D’Arious Albert takes the opening kickoff all the way to mid-field before he gets tripped.
Irish defense stiffened though.
Landon Allen pass downfield to Calvin Sims who is brought down by Jerome Stoudemire to save the touchdown.
But two plays later Allen hands it to Akil Sledge who runs in almost untouched to put Notre Dame on the board first.
